As-Salam Al Malaki (The Royal Salute) is the national anthem of Saudi Arabia. It praises God and asks that he will grant the King of Saudi Arabia long life. The words of the song were written by Ibrahim Khafaji (born 1935) and the music was by the Egyptian musician Abdul Rahman Al-Khateeb (b. 1923). It was adopted as the national anthem in 1984.

W-arfaʿī al-khaffāq al-ákhḍar Yáḥmil an-Nūr al-musáṭṭar Ráddedi: Aḷḷāhu ákbar, Yā mawṭanī! Mawtanī, ʿíšta fakhr al-Muslimīn ʿĀsh al-Malik lel-ʿalám wal-waṭán![1]	Hasten to glory and supremacy, Glorify the Creator of the heavens!
